Desktop Support Technician (Entry Level)

As our Entry Level Desktop Support, you’ll be the first line of support for over 400 users when they run into technical issues with their computers, phones, or mobile devices. Successful applicants will be passionate about technology, enjoy helping coworkers be successful at their jobs, and share an enthusiasm consistent with our “get it done” attitude.


The position will include direct contact with clients and other staff and must be able to communicate in a professional and respectable manner.  This position requires you to be onsite fulltime.

Responsibilities and duties of the successful candidate:

  • Address basic technical issues (examples: password recovery/reset, assistance to fix keyboard settings, assistance to help find files, etc)

  • Assist with common mid-level technical questions such as local network issues, or local-system setup

  • Troubleshooting technical issues with  & Windows systems for both local and remote users

  • Managing support tickets efficiently while maintaining proper prioritization

  • Installing, testing, and troubleshooting applications

  • Image deployment and maintenance for desktop and laptop systems

  • Tracking and maintaining IT-related equipment

  • Administering Office 365 accounts

  • Creating and maintaining clear, concise documentation

We are seeking a well-rounded candidate with the following qualities and skills:

  • Experience handing basic computer issues

  • Previous experience in a desktop support position considered an asset

  • Friendly and outgoing demeanor

  • Customer Service Experience

  • A willingness to learn new or more complex tasks

  • Working knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry and relevant applications an asset

  • Must live in Calgary or be willing to travel to Calgary for work
